Defining how it will be built
The Santa Fe Sur Police Station brings together offices, entrance control and a multipurpose hall with an auditorium in a low-rise building of around 4,320 m² on the ground floor, with green terraces and roofs, and an eight-storey tower with rooms, a gym and a dining hall. It is being built by COCYAR, and our studio works for the contractor: we are the BIM technical office that connects the company, the government technical team and each specialist.
Our role is to organise the information so the project works. We bring architecture, structure and every service into a single model, detect what does not fit between disciplines and resolve it before it reaches the site. Every comment from the site or the inspection goes back into the model, the drawings and the quantities.
On a public project, where every change passes through many hands, traceability makes the difference: more than 130 technical communications logged between site, inspection, specialists and our studio, each with its answer and its record.
And one key point: taking the model to the site and checking that what was designed works in reality. Building better depends not only on design, but on how project information is managed.
